Learning Log 7

We painted wood.  I spray painted.  I sewed my cloak.  I got to make a bow and arrow for my costume for halloween. We had a costume party.  And my friend Sage, she was witch.  And her big sister was zombie.   Alex one of my friends was Spider Man.  And Thomas is another homeschooler guy, and he was a barbarian monk.  We had a nature walk and we took the dogs and it was really cold.  When we were looking at the duck pond Luna (our dog) was trying to get away when Hugs was siting on the railing of the dock.  And she was looking down into the water looking at the carp.  And then Luna pulled her off the railing and then she fell and let go. And then Luna ran away.  And then Luna got stuck and then we got her out and if she didnt get stuck  then we would have never seen her again.

Learning Log 6

We learned about Mount Nemrud.

(This week we learned about how hunter gatherers would use rock walls in the shape of a kite.  They would herd the animals into the kite and then kill them at the end of the kite.  Here Curious is telling of his new invention of how to make the hunting kite even better.)  My new invention of kites was just like a normal kite but made out of a really strong brick wall instead of rocks.  And there was this wood door that was opened and then all the animals would run into the kite and then there were these little spikes sticking out and there was a hunter hiding in each spike and as soon as all the animals ran in they would close the wooden door so that there would be no way out.  And then the hunters would kill the animals.

We made a map of Mesopotamia.  And well, we got to draw river number 1, river number 2, river number  3, river number  4,  and river number  5.

Well in math we watched math monsters which is a fun video about monsters that do a bunch of math and stuff.

We Missed a Learning Log

I learned about T Rex's and plant eating animal foot prints.

Mom gave us each clip boards, and she told us to draw a map.  There is a n East Mountain and a West Mountain and the East Mountain is way bigger then the West Mountain (geography of Salt Lake Valley).

When we were learning about Life a Fred there was a crazy duck that lies allot, he has a really big beak and he is larger then Fred.

Cave Paintings, they said that the not very detailed ones were older then the really detailed ones.  Because the evolutionists thought the humans brain evolved more like a human and less like a monkey, but that's not really true.  Its really true that the detailed ones were older then the simple ones.

Mama wanted me to type in everything I learned in hop ki do in my notebook so I typed in round house kick, knomeo, roll offense position, roll defense position, and just normal old roll, and three other things I cant remember.

On Brain Pop I learned about fish, the titanic, horses, dogs, the french revolution, and Inuits, native Americans, Pocahontas.

weekly learning log

last week i learned that Mesopotamian's make all there awesome buildings out mud bricks. i learned that Sumerians invented the wheel. and i typed in roar in Google docs and its said it wasn't a word. we made Suzanne a hat Suzanne is a monkey on blender. oh yea we learned about the tower of babel. we learned about the epic of Gilgamesh one time Gilgamesh and his friend went into the forest and they started chopping down trees with there axes and then a giant demon came and said stop chopping down my trees and then the wind god made a big cage that trapped the demon and then the demon said let me go and then the wind god didn't let him go and in one slice of Gilgamesh's ax killed the demon. and that's the end of my learning log

Another Learning Log

Once upon a time, in Hap Ki do I learned how to do a roll from standing up.  (I told Curious to tell me what he learned like a story) And then you stand back up and turn around.  I learned that Humunckuluses don't exist.  I learned how to make a toast jelly and butter sandwich (he says as he eats the messy sandwich).

I solved a mystery with x and Mama helped me a little (math).  When we were reading Life of Fred we learned how to solve mysteries with x.

We went on a nature walk and caught fish.  We went to wetland park and we got to feed the ducks cheese crackers.  And that was when we caught fish, but I am pretty sure  I already mentioned that.

And we learned why the English people drive on the wrong side of the road, I mean the people in Brittan.

We learned that pottery is very very fragile and all the evidence they found was a broken piece of pottery.  That the people in the book found, was just a broken piece of potter. And that's all I remember about that book.

Well, on the seven wonders videos they built a big statue of Thor, I mean Zeus.  And they said that a bolt of lightening struck through the temple and left a scar on the statue of Zeus.  And the statue of Zeus was seven times the size of a man.  There was a statue of a naked person with a torch in one hand and a spear in the other hand, (The colossus) and it was not really naked, they just said it was, but it actually had weird underpants things on it made of cloth.

Well you know how you told everyone to mess around with that 3d modeling stuff.  Well I did not really do it, the whole time I was getting myself something to eat.

We learned about thumbnails, and zipping and unzipping files, and making files, and we learned about x, y, z.  Y was up.  Z was away. and  X was sideways.  So for Y the ball would bounce up.  For Z the ball would roll away from you and roll back.  And then for X it would go side to side.

We went to a dogie competition and it got boring because it was just watching the dogs. And they weren't herding the sheep, and you did not get to really pet them or touch them. And it was boring. And so I went to the park that was a little playground by the dog show.  And I was playing in the play ground . One of those dogs in the competition walked by, and its owner was walking it. And then these people were asking to pet it. And then she said sure to allot of them. And then Tumbelina and Hugs were doing it and then they came swarming around like locust and they were petting the dog like crazy.  And I said can I pet the puppy dog. And then she said sure you silly. Why do you think everyone else is petting it.  And she said guess what his name is. And then she said his name is Watson.  And I thought awesome Watson is my most favorite character in the entire movie of Sherlock Holmes.
